About us
The Utility Consumers Consortium (UCC) was formed in 2001 to represent large and multi-site utility customers and to provide a range of services to them.
At the time, energy buyers in business and commerce were confronted by a wide variety of suppliers and considerable complexity in the commercial arrangements. Added to which, there was pressure, which continues and has intensified to this day, to reduce carbon emissions.
The services UCC provides, which are described in detail elsewhere, range from energy procurement to invoice validation and include expertise in energy efficiency. These services have been provided to a wide range of business customers over the decade since the business was formed.
Businesses with a variety of smaller sites and water customers are also catered for.
There is a regular dialogue with supply businesses in energy and water to solve our customers' problems and frequent discussions take place with the industry regulators. The UCC is widely accepted in these circles for its expertise and as a voice for reason in what remain complex market conditions.
